Is Business Coaching Really Worth It?
The only regret that I have is that I didn't do this 3 years ago because I feel like I now understand my business and where to invest my time and efforts.
It was the norm for me to work 60-80 hours a week. I thought that was my future and I probably would have resigned within 5 years because what I was doing wasn’t sustainable. We had minimal structure and no real sense of direction. We needed a plan to develop beyond that; plans to develop staff, look at our customer profile, set goals and manage our day-to-day work in a more organised way.
Without my coach, we would not have set the goals we’ve set. We have a far more sustainable business than what we had before. Having a coach made me more accountable for what I was doing e.g. with setting goals for the business and mentoring my team and leadership staff to operate in the same way. We started seeing benefits in just 3 months. Our turnover was generally between £1.8-2 million a year. Now we are on target to hit £10 million. I’m excited for the business – it has gone well beyond what I ever thought was achievable. – Simon Sliwinski, Managing Director at Elmleigh
